workout will be the next thing I try on my weight loss journey. I had a lot of success with the HCG diet and I do think overall it was very beneficial for me. I lost over 30 pounds with the HCG diet and unfortunately I hit a plateau after a couple months and quit losing and started to gain my weight back. I only gained 10 pounds back, but it was too much for my liking.

With the HCG diet I tried everything to keep losing, but once I hit a certain weight I could not get lower than that. That is where the P90X comes in handy. P90X is a very tough workout series that is designed to build and tone muscle. I am hoping to turn my fat into muscle.

I have survived 3 days of P90X so far and it is a very tough workout. Every day my muscles feel tired and worn out and I love it! The thing I absolutely love about the P90X workout is that every day is different. I received 14 DVD’s and it cycles through those DVD’s for the three months. The concept is that the ever changing workouts will confuse your muscles and keep them constantly working.

At Lunch and Dinner I am still very sore so instead of eating the fatty foods that I used to eat, without a second thought, my body reminds me that I shouldn’t put all that hard work to waste by eating bad foods. I didn’t realize what a benefit this was, but it has helped me eat better throughout the day.

I am not oblivious to the fact that most people that start P90X never finish it. I can see why they don’t finish, it is a very difficult workout and it is a commitment to do it. My brothers and I have set up a Private Facebook group that we are all in where we can post about the workouts and help each other to follow through with the goal. It has helped me a lot to know that there are several other guys doing exactly what I am doing as well and we have a good support group to lean on. My wife has even started the workouts with me in the morning and it has been fun for us to work together to get in shape.

This blog will contain several updates on my progress with P90X and at the end of the workout I will write a summary with all of the posts combined so that you can see if it is something you would like to do. I believe that accountability is very helpful in losing weight which is why I have this blog and I have told friends and family about my goals. They can help keep me on track, which is very beneficial!
